Peter Cairns was operating Blenheim Chimney Cleaning for his 5th year. A business which had been established for over 40 years and in that time gained a reputation that lived up to their motto - Prompt, Clean, Efficient. Peter had purchased that business from Gary Ham, who chose to branch out and specialise in fireplace installations, sales and service with Blenheim Log Fire Installations, which quickly gained a solid reputation built on quality and great service. After having worked closely for several years in the fireplace industry, it seemed a natural progression to merge their combined skills to offer a comprehensive service for their customers. In early 2006, with over twenty years combined experience in the fireplace heating industry including tiling hearth’s, fireplace inspections, chimney cleaning and related work, Gary Ham and Peter Cairns joined forces and amalgamated their individual businesses to create Heating Marlborough. A company of three hard workers dedicated to providing warmth and specialising in fireplace sales, installation, maintenance, repairs, annual servicing and inspections. Three years later, Peter and Gary, happy with their success, continued to strive to offer the best service in town. Their hard work was reflected as Heating Marlborough continued to grow with a total staff count of five and an ever increasing great reputation for quality and top service. With such success the business quickly outgrew its small showroom and workshop so a new premises became number one on the to-do list. Heating Marlborough moved into the building opposite PlaceMaker’s on the corner of Farmer Street and Grove Road where it still continues to satisfy its customers to this day, with a much expanded showroom and a vast array of fireplace models of all shapes, sizes and fuels, including several operating wood burners, a feature open fireplace and operating gas models.   Our team at Heating Marlborough provides a professional service to the entire Marlborough region, including the Marlborough Sounds, Rai Valley and Kaikoura.
